In accordance with Act No. 77 of 1979, better known as the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration Act, and Administrative Order No. PRFAA-2023-002, the Federico Degetau y Gonzalez Internship is established. Its purpose is to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge that will help them understand the functions and work carried out by the Administration in its representative role for the Government of Puerto Rico, its agencies, and municipalities before the federal, state, and local governments, as well as public or private entities in the United States.
The Federico Degetau y Gonzalez Internship will include a stipend of $18.00 per hour, up to a maximum of $720.00 per week per student. Alternatively, students may choose to have the internship accredited for academic credits. Among the benefits offered by the Degetau y Gonzalez Internship is a transportation incentive, which will not exceed $200.00 per month.
