Director of Government Affairs
Martin E. Rivera, Esq. is the Director of Government Affairs of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA), where he leads the federal and local legislative priorities and agenda. Mr. Rivera represents PRFAA before policymakers, industry representatives, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining PRFAA, Martin served as a Legislative Assistant in both the Florida Senate and in the U.S. House of Representatives for Congressman Darren Soto (FL-09). In the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Martin worked to hold the federal government accountable for the management of disaster relief and the response to the island’s economic crisis, while advocating for the people of Puerto Rico and displaced communities. He has extensive experience in policy, legal, and legislative matters.
Mr. Rivera earned his Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed attorney in Florida. Martin is from Juncos, Puerto Rico, and grew up in Kissimmee, Florida.
